Our March update is here! This update includes a handful of new objects and enhancements as well as many bug fixes.

  • Cracked Floor Tile – Cracked Floor Tiles will crumble away as soon as you step off of them and turn into a pit. Leaving a room and re-entering will restore them. Linking from a Cracked Floor Tile will trigger the link when the tile crumbles. Linking to a Cracked Floor Tile will restore that tile when triggering the link. Note that if you link to a Cracked Floor Tile, it will no longer restore when leaving and re-entering a room.

  • Fire Lizarc – A new enemy variant has appeared! This yellow Lizarc wearing a red hood is even deadlier than his green counterpart. The Fire Lizarc shoots Fire Arrows which can be used to light torches. The Fire Lizarc also moves faster and the arrows it shoots travel faster than a normal arrow.

  • Flying Razor Traps – A new variant of the Razor Traps is here: the Flying Razor Trap! Flying Razor Traps come in the same Red and Blue variants as the standard Razor Trap. A Flying Razor Trap can fly over pits and won’t trigger cracked floor tiles like the regular Razor Traps do!

  • Inactive Razor Traps – You can now place Inactive Razor Traps in build mode. Previously, only the active versions were placeable. Link to an Inactive Razor Trap to turn it on.

  • Camera Bounds in Build Mode – When building a dungeon the camera will stop moving once a room is at the very edge of the screen. No more getting lost in the build void!

  • Starting Equipment Menu Overhaul – The Starting Equipment Menu has been overhauled! It’s now much easier to specify the minimum number of players you want for your dungeon. We also added a section to let the player start with “Upgrades” such as the Dash Boots or Map/Monocular. More Upgrades will come in time! The “Shared Inventory” button is now a toggle button and when it’s active you can only edit/access Player 1’s inventory which now says “All Players” instead of “P1”.

  • Featured Dungeons – We removed the “Popular Dungeons” tab in Online Dungeons and replaced it with “Featured Dungeons”. This will be a curated list of dungeons that we’ll spotlight from time to time. Dungeons from our Designer Challenges will often appear here.

  • View all of a Designer’s uploaded dungeons – It’s now possible to view all of the dungeons uploaded by a particular Designer. When browsing a dungeon, click on the thumbnail, then click on the Designer’s name or icon to see a list of all of their uploaded dungeons.

  • New Loading Screens – New loading screens were added, it’s random which one you’ll see. Now loading is fun!

  • Transparent Switch now placeable over pits! – Now you can trigger links as you fall to your doom!

  • Dungeon Thumbnails hide more info – Previously, Dungeon Thumbnails were showing a bit too much info (hidden links, stack quantities, Door Lines and Labels, etc.). Well, it doesn’t anymore!

  • Spawner Linking Update – Grouped Spawners were not triggering links properly. Now all spawners in the group will need to have been activated and will need to have everything they spawned picked up or defeated before they trigger their link. Once cleared, the link repeats as expected, requiring the player to clear both spawners. We’ll be further enhancing this in the future with a visible marking on a spawner if it has been cleared.

  • Fireflies bug – Wait, fireflies ARE bugs, what’s the problem here? Well, they were breaking links. Fireflies placed on linked objects no longer cause issues with links working.

Phew! We’re excited to see how you use these new tools to create amazing dungeons. Thank you all for your continued support and for inspiring us to keep going!
