Retreatle

  • The new Beetle Enemy is here: Retreatle! Is it a feature or a bug? (I stole that joke from our Lead Composer).

  • The Retreatle is a new enemy with some fun interactions. While its shell is on, it can’t be hurt unless you shoot an arrow directly at its open eye, or hit it into a pit.

  • The shell can be removed with the Frog Glove, the Retreatle will scamper towards its shell once removed.

  • The shell can be pushed and also weigh down floor switches and transparent switches.
  • If the shell is pushed into a pit or is far enough away across an obstacle, the Retreatle will… retreat!

  • With its shell removed the Retreatle can easily be defeated.

Other various fixes and enhancements

  • Many optimizations to help alleviate FPS drops.

  • Wide wallstairs were breaking the wall next to them.

  • Player shadow on level complete screen was offset in other aspect ratios than 16:9.

  • Lizarc and Hollow enemies would sometimes float when resetting animation.

  • Various audio issues fixed.

  • Gooliath was not spawning in properly.

  • Warp sound was playing on level start.

  • Rats were getting stuck on unspawned items.

  • Spike animation fix when moving between rooms.

  • Up/down block getting was stuck when an enemy was defeated on top of it.

  • Loading screen was not showing when returning to build mode from the level complete screen.

  • Clicking on or searching for a User Name in Online Dungeons now properly returns a list of dungeons in descending order.

  • Comment Count added to Comments button, shows how many total comments you have.

  • Default dungeon music is back to “Castle – Adventure”.

  • Boss Track name changed from “Skeleton” to “Brigadier Skuhl”.

  • Loading bar added to loading screen.
  • Updated Copyright to 2026.
